The Rotary Club of Ravenshead and Blidworth hopes to be out and about spreading festive cheer within the community in a Covid-19 safe way that protects its collectors, the public and Santa.

President Richard Lord said: “This year we need your support even more. The Covid-19 virus has changed all our lives and it will influence the Rotary Santa Sleigh Christmas Appeal.

“We will not be able to have a door-to-door collection, but we do intend to have a presence on the streets.

“You will be able to find out more of when Santa will be in your area by checking at https://rbrotary.org.uk/sleigh or via our Facebook page from mid-November. We also hope to have an online ‘tracker’ that will enable you to see when we are approaching your home.”
