Newark-based Simply Log Cabins, an online retailer specialising in log cabins and outdoor leisure buildings, has secured a naming rights agreement with grassroots football club Penistone Church FC in South Yorkshire.

The club’s historic stadium is now officially branded as the Simply Log Cabins Memorial Ground, with the deal taking effect as the club marks its 120th anniversary.

The agreement covers stadium naming rights, pitch-side hoardings featuring manufacturing partner Lasita, VIP matchday hospitality, and digital integration across Penistone Church FC’s online platforms.

“We believe in building things that last, whether that is a premium Lasita log cabin for your garden or a thriving local football club,” said Gerrard Smith, managing director of Simply Log Cabins.

“Becoming the stadium naming rights sponsor for Penistone Church FC in their 120th year is a fantastic milestone.

“We are honoured to have our brand and our flagship manufacturing partners associated with such a dedicated community institution as Penistone Church FC.”

As a predominantly online business, Simply Log Cabins operates without a traditional high street shopfront.

It said the naming rights agreement gives the brand a recurring, tangible physical presence.

The club added: “It is a huge thank-you to our brand new ground sponsors for the 2026/27 season.

“We would like to give a massive appreciation, welcome and thanks to our latest corporate partner, Simply Log Cabins.”
