Local businesses are being invited to send their best golfers to enter Newark Golf Club’s inaugural Corporate Cup.
This free to play pairs event is open to men and women and will be competed across 18 holes on 1st October.
It marks the beginning of a new chapter for Newark Golf Club, which has undergone significant renovations since it was taken over a year ago.
“There is a great community of local businesses here in Newark and we are ready to welcome them here, starting with the first annual Newark Corporate Cup,” said Will Davies, director of golf at Newark Golf Club.
“The golf club looks fantastic, and the course and facilities are all in great shape, so we challenge you to send your best players for what promises to be a great, fun day of competitive golf.”
Any local business can take part in the event. Players must have a handicap to participate and win prizes. Breakfast will be served on arrival, with access to the all-grass Trackman Driving Range available to all players before the 9am shotgun start. Lunch will consist of the famous Newark Cow Pie and will be served in the newly-refurbished clubhouse.
“We really hope that the local business community gets behind this new event,” added Ben Blackburn, operator of Newark Golf Club. “We see the value in developing relationships with the local community and look forward to welcoming them here. We are extremely proud of the team, set up and course we have and are delighted to be able to put on an event that brings Newark together.”
