Survey of housing needs in Newark and Sherwood

Share:

A survey is being sent out to 13,500 homes throughout Newark and Sherwood this week for residents to set out their views on what types of housing are needed for the district.

Newark and Sherwood District Council has a responsibility to make sure that local housing reflects the current and future requirements of its residents, understands what type of homes its residents currently live in and what type of homes they need and where they would like to live.

Information gathered from questionnaires, which are being sent to a random sample of households, will also help the council make decisions on planning applications and future housing policies and strategies. It is an important part of the process that residents have the opportunity to contribute.

The council has commissioned Arc4 Ltd, an independent consultancy, to undertake an assessment of housing requirements across the council area.

If you receive a survey form, intends to be returned by March 23, 2020. If you have any queries contact Jill Sanderson, Housing Strategy and Development on 01636 655000. For further information see www.newarkandhousingstudy2020.co.uk
