Newark cricketer’s name on Test player’s shirt

Share:

The name of a Newark cricketer will feature on England Test player Stuart Broad’s shirt during England’s current series against the West Indies – named the #raisethebatseries.

The initiative is celebrating key workers who also play cricket, who have helped to lead the UK’s response to the coronavirus crisis.

England’s players are wearing training shirts bearing the names of keyworkers in their honour — and Newark R&M’s Chris Tall features on Chris Broad’s shirt.

Tall is a care worker for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities in a Newark and Sherwood residential unit.
