A racing driver from Fernwood is celebrating two race wins after a successful weekend in the GT Cup Championship.
Jamie Falvey is part of Team BRIT, the world’s only competitive team of all-disabled racing drivers, and competed in his second GT3 meet of the year with teammate Paul Fullick at Snetterton Circuit
On the Saturday, the pair faced challenges after technical issues with their car during testing, which restricted their track time, but the following day they won both of their two races outright.
Their success built on an incredible season opener — the first disabled pairing to win a GT3 race outright, the first ever amateur pairing to win a GT3 race outright, and the first pairing to ever win a GT3 race on what was the debut GT3 race for both.

Since its formation in 2015, Team BRIT has been dedicated to revolutionising disability motorsport, breaking down barriers and developing cutting-edge hand control technology that has opened doors for disabled drivers worldwide.
Jamie served in the Royal Marines commandos to the rank of lance corporal. He was medically discharged after sustaining hearing damage. Paul is a lower leg amputee following a motorbike crash.
Jamie said: “A great weekend’s racing – overall, we are really happy with the team’s performance. With very little testing on Friday, the crew and engineering team put a set-up on the car that led to some really strong lap times and results. We’re still learning and improving every lap and there’s more to come. I can’t wait for Donington.”
Jamie and Paul race again at Donington Park Circuit on 27th and 28th June.
