Millionaires back to where they bought winning ticket

Posted onPosted on 10th Nov

An Ollerton couple who won £1m on the National Lottery have had their massive win commemorated on a gold Lottery playstation installed at the place where they bought their winning ticket.

Andrew and Paula Hancock, who won £1m in July 2019, bought their ticket at MFG Service Station, on Old Rufford Road, Ollerton.

They returned to write a message of good luck on to the machine, and to celebrate the moment with store managers Praveen and Dency Ramankuty.

After the win, Andrew and Paula had hoped to travel the world after selling their catering business, but the coronavirus pandemic changed their plans.

Instead, they bought a campervan and toured the UK with their son, Xavier.

Paula said: “It’s a real honour to have our names on not just a National Lottery playstation, but a gold one.

“We still feel very lucky and I hope this special playstation will bring a lot of good fortune to others who buy a ticket here in the future.”
