Creating quilts for young people leaving care

Share:

Michelle Baker, owner of Crafty Betty, Newark, has been appointed Nottinghamshire coordinator for the Quilts for Care Leavers project.

Michelle has been involved with the charity for a few years.

She explained that beautiful handmade quilts are made throughout the year and presented at Christmas time to those young people leaving care and starting out on their own independent lives as an adult.

“I look forward to working with the rest of the team across the country,” she said.

If you would like to donate or create a quilt for a care leaver, go to www.craftybetty.org or contact Michelle at [email protected]
