June is music month at Palace Theatre

There is a wide variety of music acts at the Palace Theatre, Newark, in June.

Coun Rowan Cozens, portfolio holder for Heritage, Culture and The Arts, said: “During June we have tributes to musical greats, from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons to Fleetwood Mac, Simon and Garfunkel, and The Four Tops to name but a few. If you are looking for a great night out, look no further than the Palace Theatre.”

The Simon and Garfunkel Story will open the month on 1 June, featuring film footage as well as a full live band performing all the hits, including Mrs Robinson, Cecilia, and the iconic Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, a band personally endorsed by founder of the famous band, Mick Fleetwood, will captivate audiences in Newark on 5 June.

Encapsulating the sound of the 60s and 70s, Frankie – The Concert is heading to the Palace Theatre, where an eight-piece band will pay tribute to the career of Frankie Valli on 7 June.

Love Hurts, from the producers of Anything for Love and Vampires Rock, is a new show featuring over 25 epic power ballads and anthems on 8 June.

On 14 June Genesis Connected will perform some of the music from Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and Mike and the Mechanics.
Direct from the USA, Soul Satisfaction’s American Four Tops show has been travelling internationally and will arrive at the Palace on 15 June.

On 18 June, Albert Lee, who has worked alongside Eric Clapton, will be bringing his guitar to Newark.

The Get It On Glam Rock Show on 20 June will feature hits from the Bay City Rollers, T-Rex, Mud, Slade, Bowie, and Wizard.

That’ll be The Day icons Trevor Payne and Gary Anderson will also be embarking on their first solo tour in 2024 and, in an Evening with Trevor and Gary, present an evening of tales with a splash of rock and roll on 21 June.
