Newark-based hospice Beaumond House is to launch its new Facebook virtual challenge Moving Mountains.
The challenge will run from 1st to 31st March and involves climbing the number of steps equivalent to the height of a mountain of your choice.
Both teams and individuals are invited to take part.
In March, the Hospice at Home team is asking people to help it to move mountains so that every person who needs it can receive the care it offers — free of charge.

The Hospice at Home team cares for an average of 45 patients a month, delivering around 370 hours of care in patients’ homes. It said it will cost around £7,900 to deliver this service in March.
Nurse Lesley Storey said: “It is our goal to provide the very best care to everyone who wants our support in their own home.
“Every day we are faced with challenges such as traffic, working alone, late-night finishes, and limitations within a patient’s own home.
“However, the teams at Beaumond House are completely dedicated to going the extra mile — there is virtually nothing that will stop us getting to and supporting every patient that needs us.”
Matt Colbourne, community and events fundraiser at Beaumond House, added: “By taking part in our Moving Mountains’ challenge we hope to show the care team how much their work is appreciated and raise funds to ensure we can continue to do so.
“Choosing your own mountain recognises everyone of us has a different-sized mountain that we need to overcome every day.”
The hospice is encouraging participants to fundraise through a Facebook fundraiser page, because the donations received are passed on in full with no commissions or fees taken out. However, fundraising via JustGiving or a sponsorship form is also welcome.
