Motorfinity relocates to new Newark office

Posted onPosted on 23rd Mar

Specialist car group Motorfinity has moved to new state-of-the-art headquarters in Newark, following a period of significant team growth.

The company, which specialises in providing discounted vehicles to frontline workers, has recruited 22 new starters over the past year, increasing its workforce by 275%.

The new office, which was provided by commercial property developers, Harlaxton Estates, is based on Northern Road, Newark.

Spanning more than 5,000sq ft, and with capacity to expand if needed, it has double the space of the team’s previous office. It also features a fresh, modern aesthetic with acoustic panelling to reduce noise, along with plenty of agile working space and a unique industrial interior.

To champion the importance of break time and a friendly work culture, a third of the office has been converted into a break-out space with games, consoles and a large lunch area. In addition to this, over £300,000 has been invested into the development and branding of the space.

The move comes after a successful 12 months for the company, with further successes including a new website, new national partners such as Ford and the recent launch of its motor leasing division at the end of 2021.

Commenting on the new office and the company’s successes to date, Daniel Briggs, chief executive of Motorfinity, said: “2021 was a fantastic year for Motorfinity and 2022 is set to be even better, seeing us support even more frontline workers than ever before.

“When Motorfinity began life back in 2017, we were a small team of three, so to see the growth we’ve experienced over the course of five years has been phenomenal. The new office comes at a pertinent time too, following the recent launch of our leasing division, and allows us to further build on these successes with even more great news still to come.

“Our employees are an important part of the Motorfinity ethos as without them we wouldn’t be able to do what we do for so many NHS, emergency services and defence workers. We always try to encourage a social and friendly culture at Motorfinity as we believe that relaxed and happy employees will be more productive. Everyone at Motorfinity loves coming into work.

“That’s why in the new office, we’ve put a particular emphasis on a good work-life balance and have worked hard to ensure the space is inviting and inspiring for all our staff.

“A big thank you also to the Proici Commercial Interiors team who went above and beyond to ensure the space was perfect for us.”

Motorfinity has also begun its journey to become a completely paperless office while increasing its green credentials.

A new phone, IT and CRM system will not only help to cut down on needless printing, but will also ensure efficiency, smoothing out any automated systems and allowing time to be spent on more productive tasks. Integrating these systems will also provide customers with a smoother, more digital customer journey. Alongside this, two electric car charging points are to be placed in the office car park.

Daniel added: “Being a car specialist group, we always want to ensure we are doing our bit for the environment. We have seen first-hand the increase in people buying electric vehicles, so by including the charging points, we hope to encourage our staff to think of greener travel options. It is within our ethos to take care not only of our internal team but the impact we are having externally.

“This office move marks a really exciting time for the whole Motorfinity team and it’s a clear signal that we always seek to enhance and improve upon everything that we do. We look forward to being able to help even more frontline workers secure a dream car for less, from our brand new Newark base.”

Steve Hampson, managing director at Harlaxton Estates, said: “We were absolutely delighted to assist Motorfinity with their expansion plans.

“Working closely with them for their high specification, innovative work environment and mindful of budget, we were able to secure a long-term deal that will allow them to continue their growth in a wonderful workspace for their staff and visitors.”
