A free family fun day for the community in Middlebeck is set to return for the second year
running.
Held at Christ Church School on 12th July, it will be organised on behalf of Positively Empowered Kids CIC and Positive Pants, from 11am to 3pm.
The day will include hovercraft rides, circus skills, stalls, and games. There will be an emphasis on health and wellbeing.
Positively Empowered Kids is a community interest company (CIC) that aims to empower
schools and parents with the best toolkit to help children cope well with their journey through
life. It collaborates with families, schools, external bodies and public sector organisations,
offering a range of resources, programmes, workshops for children, parents/carers and
educators to support the whole ecosystem of a child.
Co-founder Claire Clements said: “We’re so delighted to be back for the second year running with our Middlebeck community fun day. It’s a great way to bring the community together and support the health and wellbeing of everyone, which is at the heart of what we do at Positively Empowered Kids.”
The community fun day is being supported by Urban&Civic, master developer behind the
community at Middlebeck Newark, as well as Breheny Civil Engineering and Total Aggregates
Ltd.
Simon Murphy, Urban&Civic’s community development lead for Middlebeck, added: “The free community fun day was a brilliant occasion last year, so it’s great to see it returning. At Urban&Civic we always talk about creating communities and that’s exactly what we’ve done at Middlebeck, shown by how wonderfully supported events like this are throughout the year. We’re grateful to PEK for organising this wonderful event, and look forward to seeing everyone there.”
