Choir singing out to thank hospitals

Posted onPosted on 20th May

Major Oak Pop Choir will be performing songs from films, musicals and more at The Power Of Love charity concert at Mansfield Civic Centre on Sunday, 6th July.

Proceeds will go to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charity towards cancer services at the hospitals trust.
The event has been organised by trust governor Peter Gregory, of Caunton, as a thank-you for its care of his wife, Helen, a member of the Edwinstowe-based choir.

Peter is appealing to local businesses to donate prizes for a raffle at the event, email [email protected] for more information.

He said: “This event is a wonderful opportunity for members of the public to come together as a community and raise money for a great cause.

“It is important to give something back to our local hospitals, which will benefit the health of the community in the long run.”

The event starts at 6pm and tickets can be bought at the Community Involvement Hub at King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton, or by calling 01623 676011 or emailing [email protected]
