Welcome Break Newark to open

The Welcome Break Service Area at Newark will open to the public on Wednesday 1st March.

The all-new site will include a Starbucks Drive-Thru, Burger King Drive-Thru, Pret, Greggs, and a Budgens convenience store. There will be parking for cars, including 12 high-powered chargers for electric vehicles, as well as HGV parking and HGV fuel pumps for drivers.

At 5.30am on Wednesday 1st March, Welcome Break Newark, located on the A1 at Balderton, will open its doors for the first time.

On 4th March an official opening event will take place at the site. The first 100 visitors through the door on Saturday will receive a goody bag, complete with opening offers for Starbucks, Burger King, Greggs and Pret inside. Those stopping by will also be able to admire a real F1 car up-close.

John Diviney, chief executive at Welcome Break, said: “We know that locals and those on-the-move need great facilities, a wide selection of high-quality brands, plenty of parking spaces, fuel and electric charging facilities when they stop at service areas – and this is exactly what Welcome Break Newark offers. Our Team Members look forward to welcoming travellers and members of the local community when we open this week.”
