A taxi firm that opened a new branch in Southwell last year to cover Newark and Sherwood has pledged to help two charities throughout 2021.

Minster Five Twos will donate 1p for every £1 it makes to the Newark-based charities, which will share the proceeds and have already been given £100 each by the firm.

The charities to benefit from the generosity are Beaumond House Hospice Care and the Children’s Bereavement Centre.

The taxi firm said it was important to help charities that are struggling to raise money because of the coronavirus pandemic.
