Steve Steinman’s new production, Vampires Rock: Eternal Love The Musical, enjoyed a triumphant world premiere in February — and continues its tour of the UK at Newark Palace Theatre on 18th and 19th April.
“It’s been great to not only reconnect with our loyal fan base, but welcome along a new audience of lovers of musical theatre,” said Steve.
“It was a big risk to create a production with an all-original score. I was unsure whether the world was ready for the first new rock musical for decades, but the reaction has been awesome.”
The successful launch followed the release of the performance’s soundtrack on a double album, which hit number one in the Amazon Rock Music Chart.
The show is believed to be the first rock musical with an original score since The Rocky Horror Show.
