Supporters needed for children’s hospice at Christmas

Posted onPosted on 13th Dec

Rainbows Hospice for children and young people has launched its Christmas Appeal to help fund the care it provides to hundreds of families.

This Christmas, Rainbows – which needs more than £6m a year to open its doors and relies almost entirely on donations – is calling for the support of the Nottinghamshire community. A donation of £5 could help its Play Team to provide arts and crafts fun and learning. While £10 could go towards Music Therapy sessions, which help children and young people express and share their emotions.

Raj Dasani, individual giving manager at Rainbows, said: “We rely on donations as well as our fundraisers, and we hope you can support Rainbows this Christmas. There are hundreds of children and young people who need our care and support, and for some, this will be their last Christmas with their families.

“This year has been another difficult one with many of our events cancelled and our shops having to close. We know times are difficult for everyone, and we thank people in advance for their continued and dedicated support.

“As the only children’s hospice in the East Midlands, Rainbows is essential to so many families. By supporting us, you are ensuring we provide continued specialist care for their children and helping them to create special and treasured memories.”
