A hospice that cares for children and young people from Nottinghamshire is calling on residents to sign up to its Snowdon trek.
Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People is staging the event on Saturday, 25th September at the tallest mountain in Wales.
Rainbows community fundraiser Gary Farnfield said: “We are very excited to be holding this event and hope that people will join us. Although a little training is required, you don’t need to be an experienced walker and our team will support you every step of the way.
“Joining the Snowdon Trek will not only be an incredible personal challenge, but you will be helping to raise vital funds for the charity, which cares for more than 450 children and young people – including those from Nottinghamshire – and their families. Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to offer the services we do to so many people who desperately rely on us.
“Covid-19 forced us to cancel so many fundraisers, so we are really looking forward to people joining us for this incredible event.”
Entry is £35 and participants will be required to raise a minimum of £120 in sponsorship. Optional transport will be provided from the hospice in Loughborough to Snowdon for an additional fee.
