Red Roofs Residential Care Home in Newark, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary on 8th December, brought together residents, families, staff, and former employees for a race day.
The event transformed the care home grounds into a miniature Ascot, with guests embracing the racing theme in full dress.
Vocalist Jules performed and activities included traditional guessing games and a tombola.
Among the guests was Red Roofs founder and owner Margaret Daniel, who launched the home alongside her late husband, Michael Daniel, in December 1985.
Margaret shared memories of its early days and thanked all those who have contributed to Red Roofs over four decades.
General manager Trish Smith, who has been with Red Roofs for 36 years, said: “Since Margaret and Michael opened Red Roofs, they have empowered their team to make a difference and improve people’s quality of life.
“I am super proud of my team here – they’re hardworking and dedicated. Without them, Red Roofs wouldn’t be the success it is today.”
