Newark’s Magnus C of E Academy GCSE results day joy

Posted onPosted on 22nd Aug

Magnus C of E Academy, Newark, celebrated students’ achievements during their GCSE results day.

Principal Anna Martin said: “A huge well done to our students, who despite suffering significant disruption to their learning during the first few years because of the pandemic, have worked so hard to achieve strong GCSE results.

“Of note, we have seen some fantastic achievements in the tech award subjects such as child development, hospitality and catering, and e Enterprise. Likewise, our language students, including those taking Spanish, Greek, and Turkish, have also achieved some fabulous results.

“We are delighted to be welcoming so many of our students back into the Magnus Sixth Form, and we look forward to supporting them as they embark on the next exciting stage of their education.”

In English, 64% of Magnus students achieved a grade 4 or higher, with similarly strong results in maths.

Magnus also reports outstanding individual student performances, where students have achieved grades 7, 8, and 9s across the board.
