Newark Christmas Dickensian Market is taking place this Saturday in Newark Market Place with more than 130 festive stalls, street entertainment, street food, live music, and Morris Dancing.
The Steampunk Market is taking place this Sunday in Newark Market Place with other 100 festive and steampunk curiosity stalls, street entertainment and live music, all finishing with a torchlight procession throughout the town.
The Steampunk Torchlit procession takes place between 6pm and 6.30pm on Sunday and will involve the procession of 150 lights, starting at the beginning of Kirk Gate. They will then heads towards the church, before moving down on to Church Walk and into the Market Place, where the Steampunk and Morris dancers will be greeted by the Mayor of Newark, Coun Laurence Goff.
At the adjacent St Mary Magdalene Parish Church, the Christmas Tree Festival will be drawing to a close on Sunday. More than 100 Christmas trees have been available for everyone to enjoy.
On Sunday, there is a community nativity at 11am and a Carol Service at 5pm.
