Lovers’ Lane Primary School is celebrating a new era as it joins the Flying High Partnership, a multi-academy trust of 34 schools.
Following the Easter holidays, James Wood will become headteacher.
The school is also undergoing classroom and building renovations.
Dave Morris, of the Flying High operations team, said: “We have taken steps to uplift our foundation area at Lovers’ Lane Primary School, with works comprising of a full redecoration, new flooring, and improved layouts for our youngest children.
“The Early Years is a great place to begin improving the environment in Lovers’ Lane, and the children are very excited to see the changes once it’s finished.
“We’re also making some small, but significant, improvements to the fabric of the building, alongside the aesthetic changes, enhancing safety throughout the school as we go.”
Interim head teacher Rhian Richardson said the school was embarking on an exciting future.
“Lovers Lane Primary School is soaring into a bright new era as part of the Flying High Partnership,” she added.
“This exciting journey marks the beginning of incredible opportunities for our children, staff, and community. With a shared vision of excellence, innovation, and ambition, we are ready to unlock new potential, inspire young minds, and build a future filled with success.
“The sky is the limit, and together, we are Flying High!”
