Major renovation is complete at Newark pub

Share:

Newark pub the Lord Ted has reopened after a major revamp to modernise the Greene King Pub & Carvery site.

Inside the pub, customers will find a fully-refreshed décor with a new colour scheme, furniture and furnishings. The restaurant has been given a contemporary upgrade to create a bright and inviting atmosphere for customers, while the bar area has been enlarged to add more sports viewing areas.

The sports area now boasts a brand-new audio system and a total of seven screens, meaning customers can experience live sports in all areas of the pub.

In addition to live sport, customers can enjoy a fresh carvery, served daily, alongside a variety of other food and drink menu options – with visitors able to download the Greene King Season Ticket app to get 10% off drinks.

Externally, the outdoor space received an upgrade earlier this year, seeing an expansion and the addition of four covered and heated pods. The outdoor sports offering was also enhanced with the addition of a large outdoor TV and speakers, allowing fans to watch live sports outdoors all year round.

Simon Keane, general manager of the pub, said: “The Lord Ted has something for everyone, and we’re excited to show off our new and improved sports and dining set up to both old and new customers, just in time for the football frenzy and festive season.

“We’re celebrating two special anniversaries at the Lord Ted; 25 years since the pub was first build and five years operating as a Pub & Carvery, so the refurbishment couldn’t have come at a better time!”
