Hospice to open new charity shop

Posted onPosted on 21st Oct

Beaumond House Hospice is to open a new charity shop in Newark.

The shop on Beaumond Cross is expected to open its doors to customers by December. The donation centre part of the store will be open from November.

The shop, which will join those already run in Newark, Collingham and Southwell for the charity, is appealing for donations, staff and volunteers.

The charity said its donation centre manager would need to be someone who can bring a fresh look to the new store and who will manage all aspects of the donation centre.  Part of the role will be to ensure the shop is adequately staffed and stocked, and that appropriate systems are in place to maximise sales and profits. For more information, go to beaumondhouse.co.uk/vacancies.

Volunteers are required for a variety of roles, such as sorting through donations, operating the till, and helping to set up the shop.

The hospice is also looking for a volunteer with a van to assist with collections. If you are interested, contact the team on 01636 610556.

The hospice will be ready to receive donations, including furniture for the store, from next month.  For free collection of your unwanted furniture items and clothing donations call 07778 341510. 100% of your donation supports your local hospice.
