Homebuying schemes help key workers and military personnel

Posted onPosted on 29th Mar

A leading housebuilder is highlighting its key schemes for key workers and members of the Armed Forces on new homes in Newark.

David Wilson Homes – which is building new properties at Fernwood Village and Hunters Place – has a range of homes available on offer through its Key Worker Deposit Contribution and Armed Forces Deposit Contribution schemes.

The developer’s Key Worker Deposit Contribution scheme is available to workers in the NHS, education services, police force, fire service, environmental service, probation service, local authorities, prison service, and anyone working at the Ministry of Defence or National Highways.

For those who complete on a home using the scheme before 30th June, the housebuilder will contribute £1,000 towards the deposit for every £20,000 spent on the purchase price. For example, on a property costing £450,000, the homebuyer would qualify for a contribution of £22,500.

David Wilson Homes’ Armed Forces Deposit Contribution is an ongoing scheme which is available for military personnel in England, Wales or Scotland to benefit from.

Armed Forces personnel who can prove their eligibility are entitled to receive a 5% deposit contribution towards the overall purchase price of a property at the two developments, up to a maximum contribution of £15,000.

Rachael Harrison, sales director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “We’d encourage those who think they might be eligible for either of the schemes, and are interested in a new home at Fernwood Village or Hunters Place, to book an appointment with our Sales Advisers to find out more about the homes we have on offer.”

A range of three and four bedroom homes are available at Hunters Place, off Avro Road, and Fernwood Village, off Phoenix Lane.

The developments offer residents a sought-after village community that is surrounded by green open space.
