Gascoines open during lockdown as property sales expected to soar

Posted onPosted on 5th Jan

Estate agent Gascoines will be operating as usual, under strict safety measures, during the new Covid-19 coronavirus lockdown when it says property sales are expected to soar throughout January.

Rentals are also in high demand as the team saw 132 properties successfully let in 2020, a rise compared to the previous year.

Viewings and house moves can continue to take place, but the estate agent will be offering virtual viewings, where possible, through its Matterport camera, which provides customers with a 360° virtual tour and 3D floor plans of the property.

Jess Mitchell, office manager at Gascoines, said: “We’re really pleased that, despite a third lockdown, its business as usual for us and we can continue to help people find their dream home or sell their property.

“In the current climate sometimes it’s not possible to attend a viewing, which is why our virtual tours are a great alternative. We are the only estate agent in Southwell to offer a Matterport camera for virtual tours, which really allows you to see the property in detail and help to make that all important decision.”

Gascoines’ offices will be open as usual and will require house hunters and sellers to phone first for an appointment or to book a viewing. Customers are also still advised to wear a face mask or covering when visiting its offices, unless they are exempt, and confirm their visit with the estate agent before their arrival.

Restrictions such as social distancing and vacating your current property during a viewing, will still be in place and it is advised to cancel your appointment if you feel unwell or have covid-19 symptoms.
