Estate agents supports Christmas appeal

Posted onPosted on 21st Dec

Gascoines rallied the assistance of Southwell residents to give back to those less fortunate in the community and support the Salvation Army with its appeal for children’s gifts.

The Salvation Army has committed to ensuring each child in Newark and the surrounding areas receives at least one present this Christmas. Gascoines launched its support at the start of December, offering its office as a location for people to drop presents.

Jess Mitchell, office manager at Gascoines, said: “We have been overwhelmed with the response to the Christmas appeal. It’s fantastic that the local community have got behind the great work the Salvation Army are doing, to spread some festive cheer to those that may otherwise not receive a gift.

“This is the second year we have chosen to support the Salvation Army and it’s wonderful to see the volume of donations increase year on year. We’re so proud of our team and the generosity of people in Southwell in making this cause such a success.”

The gifts were delivered to the Salvation Army in Newark last week and were gratefully received by volunteers who are now working to distribute them to children in time for Christmas.
