Estate agent Gascoines is working with the Salvation Army in Newark to share the festive spirit by providing toys for children this Christmas.
The appeal will launch on 25 November and will run until 11 December, with the gifts being delivered to the Salvation Army the following week. There will also be a drop off location at Southwell Rugby Club during the club’s match against Newark on 11 December.
Jess Mitchell, office manager at Gascoines, said: “We are pleased to be working with the Salvation Army on such a valuable appeal again this year. One of the most important parts of Christmas is giving, and we feel it’s incredibly important to give back in any way we can, as a local business.
“We have had such fantastic support with similar appeals from residents in Southwell and beyond, we hope to make this year the best one yet. We will be kicking off donations during the hugely popular Southwell late night shopping event on 25 November before taking donations at our Southwell office so would love people to drop off any children’s gifts they’d like to donate.”
The estate agent has chosen to join the Salvation Army’s appeal for the second year running, following the success of the campaign in 2020. Gascoines has selected
Jess added: “As Gascoines is a family run business we love to be actively involved in the community, and this includes supporting causes who help those who may be struggling around us. By donating gifts this year, we hope to spread a little festive cheer and make someone’s Christmas extra special.”
