Coronavirus: Inspire cancels all library events until end of April

Posted onPosted on 17th Mar

All Inspire events and activities planned at libraries throughout Nottinghamshire have been cancelled until the end of April in response to government advice on coronavirus.

A statement said: “Following official government advice issued Monday, 16 March, which recommended that people should avoid social gatherings to help slow the spread of coronavirus, we have taken the decision to cancel all events in libraries and other venues until the end of April.

“This includes our programme of cultural events, regular events in libraries, community learning courses and the Inspire Youth Arts programme.

“For other Inspire Learning courses, for example Access to HE, Study programmes and Apprenticeships, please see our Service Disruption (web) page.

“Ticket holders who booked online via Eventbrite will receive notification of a full refund. Ticket holders who booked with Ask Inspire or in a library and who left contact details will be contacted about their refund. These ticket holders will not need to contact us or venues directly.

“If you are a ticket holder who did not leave us any contact details, please contact Ask Inspire about your refund, preferably via email to help us manage the extra volume of enquiries at this time. Email ask@inspireculture.org.uk. Call us on 01623 677 200 only if you are unable to contact us by email.

“Learners will also receive a refund for cancelled sessions automatically via Eventbrite or will be contacted.
Due to the number of events involved it may take some time to process these refund transactions, so we ask customers to bear with us during this busy time.”
