Magnus Church of England Academy held two performances of its Christmas Carol Concert for families and friends of the Newark school.
Performances were by Magnus Musicians, the year 7 cohort choir and the Magnus Academy Voices group, consisting of senior vocalists at the academy.

Students gave readings, and the Magnus Swing Band performed pieces, including a rendition of Beauty And The Beast.
Jackie Thacker, leader of Youth and Community Music at Magnus, said: “It was a wonderful event, rich in music and worship, shared with our academy students and their families.
“I am so proud of all our talented students who took part. They are an absolute credit to Magnus.”
Academy principal Anna Martin added: “This year’s carol service, headed up by our year 7s’ performance, showed enthusiasm and confidence — and certainly inspired the festive spirit in everyone gathered.
“We are incredibly proud of not only how everyone performed, but of the wonderful young people they are.
“They have a bright and exciting future ahead of them in our wonderful school.
“I would like to extend our thanks to families who supported the event, and to the students, fantastic musicians, and senior vocalists, who made this such a magical Carol Concert.”
