Care home’s Talkin’ Tables afternoon tea to help tackle loneliness in Newark

Share:

HC-One’s Kings Court Care Home in Newark is relaunching its coffee afternoon as Talkin’ Tables Afternoon Tea, a welcoming community event designed to bring people together over tea, homemade cakes, and good conversation.

Starting Thursday 13th November, and running every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm, Kings Court will open its doors to residents, families, and members of the local community to join in a relaxed social gathering aimed at reducing loneliness and building connections.

Talkin’ Tables is a national initiative that encourages people to sit down, chat, and make new friends in a safe and inclusive environment.

Katrina Rick, deputy manager at HC-One’s Kings Court Care Home, said: “We’re so excited to bring this event to our community. Everyone is welcome, whether you come along for the company, a cup of tea, or just a friendly chat, there’ll always be a seat for you at our table.”
