Bakery donates £3,000 to hospice

Share:

Birds Bakery has donated £3,000 to one of its chosen charities of the year, Treetops Hospice.

The family-run bakery raised the much-needed funds through the sale of its single-use carrier bags, as well as donating a portion of the proceeds from its special-edition Treetops cupcakes to the hospice.

Treetops Hospice Care provides nursing care and emotional support to those who have been affected by a life-limited illness or bereavement to adults and their families across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Mike Holling, sales and marketing director at Birds Bakery, said: “As a family company that operates in the hearts of communities across the East Midlands, it’s important to us to contribute to local charities in any way we can.

“After a successful year of fundraising last year, we decided to focus on Treetops Hospice as one of our chosen charities for 2021. We’re delighted that we’ve been able to donate £3,000 to the hospice; the work they do across the region is fantastic and we look forward to raising further funds to support them.”
