Newark-based Butterfly Poultry has officially received its King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
It was presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, Professor Veronica Pickering and Deputy Lieutenant Mark Goldby, recognising Butterfly Poultry’s significant growth and success in international trade.
It has more than 30 years’ experience in the meat trading industry and has evolved from a UK-based operation into an increasingly global trading business. The company now supplies customers across Europe, Africa, Asia, the USA, Canada, and the wider LATAC region.
The head office is based in Newark, but the company also has offices in Canada, Denmark, the Philippines, and the United States.
Managing director David Snodgrass said: “Receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise is a tremendous honour and a very proud milestone for Butterfly Poultry.
“This recognition is a testament to the commitment of our entire team and the strong relationships we have built with customers and suppliers across international markets.
“Our international trade business has been built through strategic thinking, resilience and adaptability, but above all through the hard work of a dedicated team.
“Our growth in overseas markets hasn’t happened overnight, and this award recognises the collective effort that has gone into building the business.
“We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved so far and are excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to develop our international markets and strengthen our position as a trusted global trading partner.”
