Newark Palace Theatre is offering a unique opportunity to make your mark on its hundred years of history. If you’ve shared memories with a loved one at the theatre, watching panto together as a family, laughing away at a comedy night or singing along to bands, you can now offer them, or yourself, a part of the theatre with the new Sponsor A Seat packages for three, five or 10 years.

Sponsors will receive a special pack, including a certificate and have their name displayed on a decorative board in the theatre foyer. If the memories you treasure are from a particular location in the auditorium you can even choose the exact seat you’d like to sponsor, making it even more personal.

All proceeds from sponsorships will go towards the ‘Our Past, Your Future Fund’, a legacy scheme set up to honour the Palace Theatre’s 100th birthday last year. As a thank you to the local community for their lasting support, the fund’s aim is to encourage and nurture Newark’s young talent by offering scholarships and funding to local people who aspire to careers in the arts.

Theatre manager Carys Coulton-Jones said: “We have so many wonderful visitors who love the Theatre and I know they would really appreciate a gift which puts their names ‘in lights’ and supports local arts. The sponsorships are also a fantastic way for our theatre fans to give themselves a well-deserved treat and could make a meaningful memorial gift too”.
